Remember on November 4th, 2008 when we all cried when Iowa went blue? Remember how we believed that hope and change were still possible? Remember how after he was in office we all patted ourselves on the back and then didn't lift a finger to vote again until the next general election...leaving the president with a sea of opposition? Remember how pragmatic we became through all of it? How we started to think a leader that sat in the middle might be able to do more than one that was closer to what we believed in? Well maybe if we caucused today, and then voted in the general election and then CONTINUED to vote during the presidency change would really be possible. I only just realized my accountability in all this today, which is sad, but it's not too late.
Politics overwhelm me, but I'm pledging today to try and figure out how to follow through with the actions that i'm taking. So that if Bernie Sanders makes it to the white house, he actually has a chance once he's there.
And Hilary- I'll vote the heck out of you if it comes down to it. Because you're a bad-ass lady who I think will still do a pretty great job.
A Millennial that just figured it out...
